The birth of Criminal Bikes
Criminal Bikes is a hobby that got out of hand. The founders share a passion for bmx, mountain biking, motocross and all sorts of other extreme sports. It all started in a shed somewhere in the far east of the Netherlands. Two good friends came up with a plan to build their own frame. It seems simple at first, but it is a very complex process. Many thousands of hours, blood, sweat, tears, prototypes (and most of all fun) later they succeeded. A high quality 26″ dirt jump frame from Dutch soil was the result.

Who are we?
The founders of Criminal Bikes are Angelo Damming and Laszlo Wissink. Best friends for decades with a passion for extreme sports. Angelo was a very talented wakeboarder in his teens and twenties. Besides wakeboarding, he was also good at snowboarding, skateboarding and riding his bmx bike. Laszlo was a world-class BMXer and fourcross mountain biker in his teenage years and early 20s. He could also be found on a skate park with his bmx and dirt jump bike, and when he was not on his bike he could either be found on the slopes with his snowboard or on the water with his wakeboard.

Why the name “Criminal Bikes”?
Deeply inside everyone is a rascal somewhere. Our aim is that young (and old) people should and can develop personally and socially out on the streets.We want them to be able to grow in their personal and social lives. They make friends for life n the streets, in skate parks, on pumptracks and so on. This by practising a hobby outside where you can keep challenging yourself but also each other, so that they are not easily tempted to engage in criminal activities out of boredom.

Established brands!
With just a frame, you can’t do much. So it was time to get in touch with brands like Shimano, Manitou, Reverse and Magura. Even these huge and established brands were enthusiastic and wanted to start a collaboration. And we as Criminal Bikes are very proud of that, because our bikes and costumers only deserves  the best components.

Support your local dealers!
Criminals are usually motivated by money, but not so with Criminal Bikes! The brand was born out of passion, and literally everyone who works at Criminal likes to be on their bikes in their spare time. That’s why you won’t find Criminal products in a typical bike shop or sports megastore. But you will find Criminal products at your local dealer, who has the knowledge to give you the right advice. After all, a cargo bike is not a BMX and a granny bike is not a wheelie bike.
